If you want to use the camera to digitise the tapes to your computer then you will need either a computer with a 4 or 6-pin Firewire connection or another recorder with composite video (the yellow RCA cable) + two audio (red and white) connections.
Your standard USB2 or USB3 connections on modern computers does not take the signal from the Firewire output of the TRV120E camera direct. It’s a different signal and needs to be converted.
If you only have a USB or USB-C connection on your computer then I do have a digital cable combination / conversion available for hire for $25 + GST. Please choose the right option when you make your booking.
